Part#

Searches for a part number containing the text entered.

Example:
Entering: ABC123 would find ABC123 (of course!), as well as XYZABC123 and ABC123XYZ, but not ABCXYZ123
Note: Part numbers often contain dashes (-), slashes (/) and spaces.(and with no great consistency).Try replacing such marks with 'wildcards' shown below.

Wildcards:

*-replaces any number of characters

? - replace any single character

Examples:
FASTTRAK * PRO - searches for  FASTRACK (any characters) PRO
C419?A - searches for C419 (any single character) A   i.e. C419-A, C419/A, C419 A

Description

Searches product descriptions for matching word fragments

Example:
Entering: disk would find any item with the string 'disk' in its description

Entering: disk,floppy would find any item with the strings 'disk' OR 'floppy' in its description

Wildcards:

*  replaces any number of characters

?  replaces any single character

Modifiers:

+  placed in front of a word means AND

-  placed in front of a word means AND NOT

Examples:
disk,+scsi- finds items matching both the strings 'disk' and 'scsi'
disk,-sata - finds item with the string 'disk' but NOT 'sata'

Other Tips

Description,Part #, and Manufacturer fields are 'AND'ed

Try partial part numbers - often the suffix of a part # can be eliminated

Check your spelling! (We use a lot of that funny Canadian spelling :)

Try Variations on terms i.e. esata,e-sata ipod,i-pod
